About the Owner

With over 42 years of experience and having set trusses onto over 3000 homes, condos, apartments, and commercial buildings onto houses, incident-free, I could probably claim some sort of record for this specialty. Starting my career in the trades, my service offering has become very specialized.

Straight out of high-school back in 1975, I started my career in the carpentry trade. Just four years later, a real estate recession began (similar to the recession in 2008) and most construction jobs disappeared. There was little to no work available through the union, and many people went into survival mode.

By 1981 I was forced to become self-employed, scraping by with the few jobs I could land for myself and my family. The level of responsibility for running your own business is huge, especially at a time like this. No longer can mistakes be handled by the boss or fixed by co-workers. You’re on your own to do the best job you can for your clients – your reputation and livelihood depend on it.

In 1995 my business was steadily growing so I decided to invest in my own crane to supplement my home-building business. Having rented cranes in the past for various clients, it was time to officially expand my services. Two short years later, this crane service business became my full-time job. Of course, I still had the skills to do general contracting and finish carpentry, but there was a high demand for setting trusses on houses in a faster, cheaper, and safer way, and I decided to focus on it.

“If you don’t change, you’re gone”. Building your skills and providing customers with their changing wants and needs is crucial for any business to survive, not to mention if you know you can offer an exceptional service.

During the 2008 recession, I had built my reputation enough and was fortunate to land a long-term project with government housing. In this industry you just have to do your best, get the job done well, the word will spread, and your business will flourish.

Once someone finds a good worker these days, there’s a desire to keep in touch for future projects. So when you find someone that is truly dedicated to taking care of a long-term relationship with a client and doing the best job possible with the best price possible, consistently, that’s the person you’ll want to do business with as much as you can.

Many of my clients are repeat customers – something I strive for – and once you experience my personal service, ability to get the job done without messing around, and at a great rate, I hope you’ll be tempted to do business with me for years to come too!
